In reply to Secret 3rd Year Student.

Very good points there Secret 3rd Yr. Some justify doping to them selves by saying 'everyone does it' - making them feel like it is a level playing field. Brad Wiggins has said today he couldn't live with himself if he was doping. I hope this generation of cyclists can ride without feeling they have to resort to doping.

The last ten years have seen improvements in all sports, but there is still work to do. Thanks for your comments!

It's an utter shame that such a great sport is riddled with doping. I've never understood how you can compete knowing full well that you cheated, no matter how minor it is.
They all have that burning itch to win, so why can't everyone just do it from a level playing field?

The guilt Armstrong must of been living with since his major victories must of been tiresome (if he did cheat).

If only it was possible to stamp it out permanently in all sports!

Well that is one point of view thanks cycling fan! There were lots of the pros in that era using performance enhancing drugs, as has been shown, and should be punished as per the rules. I believe that there were a good number who chose to race without drugs or prohibited methods. I think these riders should be celebrated don't you?
