In France it is now a requirement to carry a breathalyser in your car – should that law be introduced in the UK too? They can be small and cheap – you can pick them up in Halfords for a few quid!

In reply to DVLA Contact Number. There is something to be said for this. There are some issues of naturally produced alcohol and alcohol inadvertently drunk in small doses - having a low cut off would seem to be sensible.

Personally I believe zero tolerance should be introduced like in our fellow European countries. There is no excuse for drink driving!

I think it should be lowered. If I ruled the world, I’d mass produce breathylsers & make them readily available by the booze in supermarkets, pubs, bars etc (maybe in vending machines). Perhaps the cost could be subsidised by the Govt or even the drinks industry. I think that many people don’t realise when they are over the limit & kid themselves – when presented with firm evidence, they might think twice before getting behind the wheel & putting themselves & others at risk.
